An introduction to Japanese bookbinding – Recycled Risograph Notebook Workshop

An introduction to Japanese stab stitch bookbinding – Recycled Risograph Notebooks

£50 (2 hour session)

The workshop is suitable for adults 18+

This workshop is with Marie. Booking is essential.

(Studio based)

This session is an introduction to Japanese stab binding, learning about paper and binding methods. We will be making custom A6 recycled Risograph notebooks with bellyband as well as coming away with the skills you have learnt during the session.

We provide all materials. The ink used in the cover stock (riso printed) for this workshop is soy/rice bran based, please wear suitable clothing as it can stain fabrics.

A bookbinding equipment pack is available to buy after the session to take home.

You will need a steady hand as we will be using awls and scalpels during this session.

Risograph prints we recycle will vary session to session although we use the most colourful for these workshops and still recycle others.

These workshops are mobile - Want us to visit your workplace, school or college? Email us to chat!
